Came across your blog while I was browsing on the web following our visit to York yesterday where we also visited the Treasurer's House. An interesting eccentric property originally owned by someone who had more money than he knew what to do with. Did you hear the tale during your visit of how he used to send his washing down to London every week on the train? I'm sure he'd be a hero of George Osborne
Totally agree about George Osborne. I have never had problems with taking photographs inside NT properties, unlike galleries in this country where unvariably it is 'no photos'. Enjoyed looking at your blog, and it is on my favourites list now for regular updates.
