Ceramics at Martinos

Martinos is the oldest and most prestigious antique shop in Athens. They recently have extended their range to include contemporary ceramics.

This is a bowl by Vanessa Anastasopoulou. Interesting textures

as is the inside.

Jug and plate by Eleni Vernadaki, my favourite Greek ceramicist. She stopped working a few years ago at the age of 84.

These must be early pieces, as her style changed considerably later, but the handle of the jug is pure Vernadaki.
