River walk

We had to go to The Farm to do some grocery shopping last week, and since we were so near Stratford we decided to drive on there and walk by the river, as part of our daily outing.

A glorious, sunny day and the Shakespeare Theatre looked fantastic

as usual, the swans were out in full force

Stunning path along the river, shaded by massive trees on either side

So many swans...

The chestnut trees are in bloom, and they are just wonderful

We continued on our way

lovely reflections on the water

Holy Trinity church on our right, where William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway are buried.

Stratford New Lock bridge

good views of the river from here

after this small detour we continued on our way

and came upon the first weir

and then, the second

Another bridge further on

our view across the water

and then it was time to retrace our steps.
