Even though she lives in our back garden, I rarely see her. But she appeared today, near the front door of our apartment building.
She was given to my sister when she was a baby, 5? 7? cm long. She lived in one of the flowerpots on my sister's balcony. When she grew up we moved her to the garden where she thrives.

It’s amazing how a tiny tortoise that once fit in a flowerpot can grow into a garden resident with so much history behind her. I love that she has been part of your family’s life for so many years and still manages to appear when you least expect it.
