The aftermath

Tons of seaweed washed out on the shore following last Friday's storm.

This is not the beach - this is the park on the other side of the promenade, at least 20 feet away from the beach, a grassed up area but unfortunately the grass is all covered with the debris brought in by the huge waves

and this is the end of the pier and a real testimony to the power of the waves: this wall was in perfect condition before the storm
