We ate in quite a few places in Madrid, and these are just some of them. Unfortunately I lost 3 days' worth of photographs so some places are missing.
Taberna Salamanca is situated on Calla Cava Baja, where our hotel was situated, and we ate here twice, both times in the evening, and both times indoors, as the first four days of our stay the weather was quite chilly.
It's a small place
and upstairs you can see all the beer barrells.
We loved cafe Europa and had lunch here twice. The food was excellent, and there was so much to see as the cafe is situated very hear Plaza Sol which is buzzing with life.
Taberna Tirso de Molina, situated in the Plaza Tirso de Molina, was one of our favourites.
After the meal we were offered the whole of this bottle of grappa with peaches inside - it was delicious.
El Madrono became a favourite: we had lunch here once, and came twice for dinner
at all times of day and night.
We also sat in Plaza Mayor once just to soak up the atmosphere
Revuelta located in a small square near Plaza Mayor, is where we had lunch one day.
