When the eclipse was over, full moon. The August full moon is a big deal in Greece. It's the brightest and always celebrated. Lots of events are organised around the archaeological sites, while restaurants and tavernas that allow a good view of the moon are always fully booked.
We did not have the energy to go anywhere special - the current heatwave has left us very lethargic and exhausted. We had a meal in a taverna and then walked home at around 11:00 desperate to be in our air-conditioned apartment.
