Whispers in my Hands, by Dimitra Skandali, at the Athens Gallery.
Whispers in my Hands is an ode to nature. Skandali uses dried flowers, herbs, prickly pear leaves, seaweed, pebbles, marbles, shards of rock, wood. All these are interweaved with seaweed sourced from the Greek sea - the weaving methods she employs do not only reference traditional craft practices, but they also allude to ideas involving symbiosis and global continuity.
