Storm

Overall, the weather has been good in Greece since we got here - quite a bit of rain, but manageable, lots of sunshine, temperatures above 10oC. We did have a mighty storm however: torrential rain and very strong winds. The direction of the winds was South, so a lot of Saharan dust kept blowing our way.  You can see it clearly in these pictures, everything is the same, dull colour. Dust blew everywhere and our balconies had this dull pink colour, you could not see the horizon and for the first time in years I had to use my asthma inhaler. 

None of this deterred the winter swimmers though, who, instead of going for a swim had a beach party, complete with loud music and dancing.

We wanted to walk along this quay, but it was impossible.

We went home instead to change our sodden clothes and I had a shower as I hate having sea water on my hair.
