Bowl
Glass bowl by Kim Bramley.
Bramley is a glass designer/maker, making kilm-formed glass pieces of jewellery, tableware, interior design pieces for both table or wall, as well as small architectural commissions. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at Saint Martin's School of Art in London, graduating in 1992. She lives in France.
'I have been melting glass in a kiln for 20 years, and it still fascinates me to keep exploring what can be done by changes of temperature and timing. Then I find myself cold working, with a drill, a saw, a flat bed polisher, a lathe and a small dremel drill. All this and then the layering, the colour mixes, the surfaces and of course, with glass, the way light moves through the interior depths.'
