Eating out in Katapola, Amorgos

The Corner tavern was our favourite for lunch and we would come here straight after swimming. The food was absolutely outstanding. I had here the best moussaka I have probably ever had. But, there was lots on the menu  which was very good. The guy who did the cooking was very happy to share his recipes with me, and I am yet to try out the moussaka as he makes it.

We got nice views of the bay from here.

We also had lunch and an evening meal here. It's right by the port, so very busy, and good for people-watching. The food was very good.

At around 7:00 in the evening we would come here, Le Grand Bleu for our pre-dinner ouzos. It was the only place we were able to find that is right by the sea - the waiter would have to cross the road to serve us

and the views were spectacular.

On Wednesday we were able to see the full moon slowly advancing behind the mountain

In the evenings, our preferred option was Alymiriki, a modern Greek cuisine restaurant that specialised in fish and seafood

Great views of across the bay and lovely food.
